DT Cores Handling Information

Lowest losses and excitation power are achieved when DT core is in its lowest stress conditions. Please observe the following to ensure that core is subject to minimal stress:

• Use lifting magnets for transporting & handling cores during assembly process. The use of an up-ending table is recommended to position the core upright for core/coil assembly.
• Avoid supporting the coils on the core. Let the frame support the coils.
• Avoid forcefully packing out the coils against the core.
• Avoid over tightening tapes, straps or other framing fixtures.
• Design the coil and frame structure to withstand short circuit strength without overstressing the core.
